Given some of the other less deserving acts that have made it into the R&RHOF,

I think STYX should definately be there.

 

What do the rest of you think? Is the R&RHOF meaningful to you?

Has anybody visited the place?

I'm all for it, but only as long as it includes Dennis. I've never been to the HOF, but think it would be a cool place to visit.

STYX has done nothing worthy of Hall of Fame status since leaving Dennis.

Their rich heritage is all about Dennis DeYoung.

The only Styx that should be inducted is the "classic" lineup, as that is the lineup that produced their success, and record-making (as no one had done what they did) sales.

Unfortunately, I feel that the negative press of Styx's heyday still lingers on, and there are those that feel it is okay and proper to bash Styx, even though they probably have their albums in their collection. In Entertainment Weekly's year in review issue for 2004, they listed one of the best TV DVD's released as Freaks and Geeks. They mentioned that although the show was good, the older generation didn't want to watch a show about teenagers, and teenagers didn't want to watch a show filled with cracks about Horshack and a soundtrack by Styx.

Dispite all of the accomplishments that Styx had--guided by Dennis, they will never be accepted.
