Wow - Nice! You have a gem in your possession. I've seen a copy at a used record store downtown. A little record shop on St. Laurent Boulevard. It was selling at $500.00. Obviously, the owner knows the value of this one. So, since I was there, I bought a tape of "Helmet Boy" for 5 bucks. The sound quality was horrible. I have it stashed away somewhere in my collection. I've always wanted a copy of "SON OF EDGE". I could never get my hands on this. I would appreciate if anybody out there could kindly provide me with a copy? I will be more than happy to pay for all expenses, and a little profit of course.

Hi Amanda - Take a look at your ticket stub & let me know what it says...... By the way, I heard that April Wine was in good form, belting out one hit after another, with good reception from the crowd. The trademark drum solo was outstanding.

Here we are again with BLT getting his facts distorted: This show was advertised as, and tickets sold for a "LOST TREASURES SHOW". It was announced on CHOM repeatedly as a Lost Treasres Show. Dennis' site advertised it as a Lost Treasures show. There was mention of Special Guest GLEN BURTNIK.

I heard that this wasn't a "Lost Treasures" show, but rather a "New CD Release". The DDY fans should be pleased. The Glen Burtnik fans got the "shaft".

My colleague at work is playing it for the 5th time in its entirety. She picked it up yesterday & is wearing it out already. We both agreed that it's nice to have a CD without any JY songs on it. We were also disappointed that Glen Burtnik has no collaboration on any song (although his name is mentioned in a couple of places). The songs stick.....They aren't as heavy as I though they would be, but better than his previous solo albums. My colleague's favorite is "Save Me". My favorite is "Crossing the Rubicon". I could swear that I heard some Tommy Shaw vocals in a few chorus'. Well, I also thought that I heard some Dennis on Cyclorama! When you are accustomed to STYX music, that's what happens...... I'm gonna wait for the American release to purchase my very own personal copy. In my opinion, best Solo Album from a Styx Member (past and/or present) is still "Welcome to Hollywood".

Nice review.....Thanks Amanda. "SAVE ME" is definitely a "toe-tapper". The band played this one at Monday's taping session and I really enjoyed it. I'm still leaning towards "CROSSING THE RUBICON" as my favorite. I'm a big fan of "STYX 1.0" Material, and this is as close as it gets (well, so far).

Yes - The full band was there. It was a taping (audio & video). It will be broadcast on CHOM next Monday, and on Wednesday at MSN. We were about 120 people, and the show was approximately 2.5 hours long. Dennis played 3 songs off his new album. They (the DJ & Technical Staff) also played 2 others off the CD. There was some interviewing that went on & a few commercial breaks. There were various technical glitches, and they had to replay 1 song over again near the end (This Time Next Year). How do I know? Well - I was on the guest list. Weird story - I had completed the CHOM survey before my colleague, and she ended up getting tickets. I found that very strange. So I called sweet Melissa from Chom and asked her why this had transpired? Well....the invitation ended up in my Junk box. My name was on the list & the rest is history. Some Familiar Stuff - He played Come Sail Away and Suite Madame Blue. Some comments on Styx - very positive. My favorite off the album so far - "Crossing the Rubicon". This was supposed to have been the name of album, and you will hear the story behind this in the interview. The song hooked me right away - it reminds me of "Pre-Crystal Ball Styx". I would classify it as something off "The Serpent is Rising". Suzanne was about 20 feet away from me and she looked great. I don't know why she walks off the stage when Dennis intorduces the band? Kyle came off the stage at sat a a table in the crowd (he's a lot shorter than I thought). The worst moment was when Eric Lapointe came out. Obviously, he was drunk. So I headed to the men's room for some relief.....lot's of relief from a "foghorn sounding bafoon". I have to admit that his guitarist (Stephane Dufour) was exceptional. One change that I would make for improvement - Replace Eric Lapointe with Glen Burtnik. Overall, it was a great experience (except for one Doofuss on stage). It was classic Dennis humor, and he sounded exceptional.

Well, looks like one of my colleagues won tickets for tonight's Private DDY show for CHOM administrators, and 40(x2) lucky ticket winners (how unfair - she's actually a Burtnik fan).
