blt Posted June 27, 2007 Report Share Posted June 27, 2007 Not much yet to report, but I am anxiously awaiting sales figures and chart positions for this week., if they are easily found. I noticed on Mediabase, where "100 Years" is holding its own, it re-entered the charts as a new single with no prior history, once the CD was released. It is now listed only as a Dennis DeYoung song. Debuts at #17 on the Canadian soundscan album charts. Not bad, but IMO, it could have been better. What will be interesting when the "sales by city" charts come out is to see how it did in Montreal and Quebec city. I presume the information has been collected by Soundscan but no one seems to publish it. If you read the article I link to above, you can see that Bon Jovi's album is number 1 at approx 50,000 copies. The number 2 album sold 26,000. So, Dennis sold much less than that. I've got the CD itself (it was in the player, of course), but not the cover. Last time I remember it, I had it on my desk at work but it's nowhere to be found there or at home anymore .... Ack! UPDATE: It's been lost for TWO DAYS and I finally say something and what happens? I find it.
