Being from Nova Scotia, I sometimes miss the ocean so much it makes me want to cry, so I know what you mean. That water means HOME. There'a few pictures there ,it was pretty ghetto back when I was younger . Now it's one of the up and coming ritzy areas ............ There's also pictures of Navy Pier and of the skyline ! I am sure you will have a great time. How long are you in town for? What do you plan to see for your visit. Liz (resident emeritus of the "City of the Big Shoulders...the City on the Lake"). I will be in town for 9 days in late July, and I'll be visiting a girlfriend. I'll be doing whatever we feel like doing at the time, which is fine with me, because I desperately need a break. I will ask to see the waterfront though. This trip is actually a birthday gift to myself. :-) I can't wait!!

As Dennis' says , " It's the city on the lake " The " The Taste Of Chicago " is going on during the first part of month around the 4th . It' also really busy down there ......... Dennis did play the Taste one year not to long ago . This year they have John Mayer , Black Crowes , Soul Asylum , Los Lonely Boys and a few others. I usually head over to Frontier Days in Arlington Heights , Il . , But this years the entertainment is pretty lame .... Rick springfield , Kansas , Beatles tribute band ....... So I might be sitting this one out . I seen Dave Mason there last year I believe , I have seen tons of bands there , ELO ( The Orchestra ) Grand Funk , Loverboy , Brian Howe ( BAD CO. ) Davy Jones ........ I like going to the outdoor shows ! Don't forget to try the pizza either ! Da Guy !

You call that puddle a lake?!! :-) Okay, okay, I only say that because I've lived next to the Atlantic for the first 36 years of my life. I bet the lake's warmer! I'll certainly try the pizza. You won't have to twist my arm for that!!

So bring your thermo's ( Just Kidding ) Depending were your staying , I sometimes I stop in my old neighborhood for pizza once in awhile. There'a place called " Johnny's Pizzeria on Damen Ave. and Congress Pizza on Milwaukee Ave. If your near these places there a Hot Dog Hut called Sam's at Milwaukee / Western Ave . As for Chicago pizza, there are soooooo many great pizza places in Chicago. Just remember there, deep dish rules (though I prefer thin crust). I do know Dennis will be playing Lisle later this year... Liz
