ladybugking Posted May 25, 2007 Report Share Posted May 25, 2007 It truly helps, as well, to see the concept short movie and then the concert that follows, as the song "Mr. Roboto" was meant (as Dennis has said, over and over and over) to be a bridge from the film to the concert. It makes far more sense to experience it this way. Some were lucky enough to see the concert live back in the day, but the film/concert "Caught in the Act" does give you a sense of how things were to work. Since this was a contentious production, probably some of the songs were not exactly on point as to being part of the concept. That said, most worked well, to me, as part of a whole. I still feel two songs, "Just Get Through This Night" from Tommy and "Double Life" from JY are two of their strongest Styx compositions ever.
