I'm spreading the word as much as humanly possible.....this is an amazing site.

Happy Thanksgiving to my American neighbors.

Our Thanksgiving was in October, and I'm still having turkey sandwiches for lunch, accompanied by turkey salads for dinner!

I'm glad you enjoy the site, and I am always trying to improve it to better serve Dennis' fans. There was a lot of work and time put into some of the features that I built into the site that I think are rather unique (compared with some lyrics sites, for example) but I am glad to see that these extras are actually being used, and not just there to look good.

I know there are a lot of you spreading the word, and I thank you all. With more people to share their stories and love of Dennis' music it makes the community more fun for everyone.

J.J. your Crib letter gave something that I thought would never happen--a link from Dennis' Official Website. I'm sure the DeYoungs know about this site, however endorsing it themselves (or by providing a link appear like they are endorsing it) could bring some unwanted issues. I just hope that they like the effort done here and the fan support. Thanks for your support, and I hope that people that find there way here because of that link enjoy the information available, as well as the community of fans already here.

J.J. I assume that you are Canadian. The fact that the Canadian shows have sold out so quicky show a pretty good fan base. What's the local reaction to the shows, and is there any surprise that they have sold so quickly?

Hi Ron,

Yes indeed, born & raised in Montreal.

Styx has had a loyal fan base in this City since the mid-70's. It was no surprise that the show sold out so quickly, especially with Dennis being the TRUE voice of Styx. The local radio station DJ (http://www.chom.com/) kept emphasizing that the tickets would sell fast....and they did. I was one of the lucky ones to get tickets. There are many of my friends & colleagues who are upset that they couldn't get tickets.

Let's see what happens on Dec. 2. This is when tickets go on sale for the 4th show, which was recently added. The prediction is that it will be another quick sell out. Maybe a 5th show will be required?

Take care Ron....and thanks again for all your time & effort with this great web-site.

Congrats on your Crib appearance, JJ! Also, glad to hear you aced the DDY tickets. You are in for SUCH a treat.

I really enjoyed Dennis' Montreal radio interview. Thank goodness for online radio streams!!! =D>

It was cool seeing the DDY Talk link.

Ron, I think you have set up an impressive fan site and the information here is quite extensive. I feel you have created a very respectful and well-managed place for Dennis DeYoung fans to go and discuss whatever -- sometimes trivial, I will admit  , but always done in fun.

Personally I feel the lyrics, the music links and where you can buy it, and the concert information are of great service to those who wish only the best for Dennis and the success of his solo career.

Thanks Kathy. I realize that there are different levels of being a fan of an artist, and I have tried to keep that in mind in the design of this site, so that there is something for everyone that visits here, and that the information is what they are looking for. It has certainly been more work than I originally thought it would be, but well worth the effort, and can't seem to help making those minor "tweaks" to make things a little better, or easier, or more informative to the visitor. The current addition in the works is the "DeYoung Music Store" because I have realized how the music buying practices of consumers has changed. I know most of us are used to the practice of going to the record store and buying what we want, but that is not always the norm anymore, especially with the younger generation. Since they are getting turned on to Dennis' music as well, I wanted to make the site easy for them as well. The DMS will feature the album links just like the ones currently on the site, but also additional links to purchase by download entire albums or individual songs at iTunes and some .wma format seller to be announced. Maybe the trip down memory lane will encourage someone to upgrade their old LP, who knows. But I provide the option as a convenience, just like the audio samples that I know are used quite frequently. I've tried to make it simple, just like the links on the concert pages take you to the "buy tickets" part of the site, without having to make 5 or more additional selections to get where you want. Want a ticket from Ticketmaster for the show you're looking at? BAM! you're there at the "How many tickets do you want" page.

Dennis' music made an impact on me in my impressionable years. If I can help support him in any way (and his fans) then I'm glad.

Ron

---a far cry from the old Yahoo! site, isn't it?
