man of miracles
I just saw Dennis on Sunday the 18th at Indian Ranch. It was indeed fantastic, despite not being a lost treasures show. The setlist was fairly standard, but I will post it anyway. Dennis was in fine voice, and good humor. during his babe speech he said "I could write a song, sing it, dance around....trip over the microphone," as he accidently stumbled. anyway, here is the show, in what I think was the order Grand Illusion Lady Best thing (a nice surprise) desert moon lorelei pieces of eight Light up Mr Roboto "oh it sounds like you people actually like that song" Dont let it end rockin the paradise suite madame blue babe best of times come sail away (during the keyboard solo, rather then being a synth type sound, he played it with a piano setting on the yamaha. this sounded very good.) after the show I talked to Hank, and Tommy. They were very friendly, and receptive to the dozen of us, who were crazy enough to wait for a Dennis sighting. Dennis walked by and signed a few autographs, but was surrounded by security. I at least got a friendly wave. -Philip
ladybugking
Philip! THANKS for the review. I just saw it. Sounds like a fun show for everyone. Question: How was the audience? Size? Response to the songs? I always find that interesting. Glad you got to go and enjoyed what you saw. man of miracles
It was actually a pretty small crowd, roughly a couple hundred. The venue is very intimate. However Dennis himself said "you are a small but mighty audience." the response was enourmous, especially for show me the way, suite madame blue, and come sail away.
