Boomchild
He has already given them more than they should have ever gotten. Plus they need him to give permission for their video release coming out next year. He doesn't need to give them anything, unless they named a price that was completely unrealistic. But even doing that puts them in a bad light. Your right he really does not need to give them anthing. Since he has, it shows what class act he is. What video release does the current Styx have coming out next year? I haven't heard about it.
Ron
I don't know the details because I don't follow them, but I know there will be a release next year

Ron
A new Styx DVD? Is it a classic Styx release (with Dennis) or another (yawn) re-imagination of their past work? I don't know the details, simply because I do not follow everything that they do. It is the current lineup, and I assume that it will be whatever their current setlist is. I am told that "Rockin' the Paradise" is a part of their encore.

It is the current lineup, and I assume that it will be whatever their current setlist is. I am told that "Rockin' the Paradise" is a part of their encore. I don't follow them as well. I just find it interesting that I have not heard a peep about this upcoming release from fans that follow the current Styx. Usually they are gushing about things like this. Then again if all it is recycling the same old stuff who would be.
B. Miller
I usually try to keep up with both bands, but i havent heard of anything coming up in the near future. So maybe its not something thats finalized yet.
Boomchild
So I had the chance to watch the Blu-ray tonight. Overall, I think the show was excellent overall. They all seemed to bring their A game to this event. It was well shot and the audio is great. This band that DDY has put together does a very good job of emulating Styx. As much as you can. Nothing beats the original. But we all know that is no longer possible. Standouts for me were DM, SMB and DLE. Speaking of DLE, I think the acoustic version brings a whole different vibe to the song. I mean that in a good way. While I still have reservations about DDY putting the TS material in the set, I do think that August does a very respectful job. I think the standout here for him was CB. I have yet to listen to the CD's so it will be interesting to see if the concert comes off as well as it does on the video. On a side note, I would have thought the release of this concert would have spwaned more people sharing their reviews and comments here. Maybe there are more people passing this release up then I thought would.

Maybe there are more people passing this release up then I thought would. I think it has more to do with the site more than the release. People are buying it, and I have yet to see one completely negative review. But in a world where people are now used to 140 Twitter characters, "going long" on a message board may seem like work. The way people connect on the internet has changed greatly since this site came into existence 10 years ago.
B. Miller
Sadly i still have not had the opportunity to watch the performance. I've got to listen to the CD's while studying, but i probably wont get time to watch until late December/January, so im going to be rather late with my thoughts on it, sadly.
