Miller Posted July 8, 2012 Report Share Posted July 8, 2012 I was reading an article about some guy who performed with Tommy Shaw and was friends with him etc, and he said when he was living with Tommy in '96 they went to see Ronald Regan, but one member of Styx refused to go because he didnt like the presidency, i was wondering if anyone knew who that was, could it have been John Panozzo? This would have been close if not after his death, so i could see him not wanting to go because of health and giving that excuse. Ron Posted July 8, 2012 Report Share Posted July 8, 2012 I never heard anything about this before. The acoustic DVD is only in the planning stages, and not aligned with PBS or any other network. Dennis is currently doing very well with the rock show performances, and it would be hard to promote an acoustic DVD if are you are doing is rock shows. Just the part that they went to visit Reagan... I can't remember the details, but there was no mention of a no show... I'm guessing John may not have because of illness... ladybugking Posted July 18, 2012 Report Share Posted July 18, 2012 Wasn't there a photo of them with Reagan? Seems I remember one, but have no idea when/where I saw it. Dennis was in it, as I recall. But I also may be mixing it up with the one of them at the stock exchange. That's what old age will do to ya! Ron, I sure hope a new DVD of the acoustic show will happen. I know there is a long process between the talk and the actual product, but I remember the long discussions that took place about the Soundstage show and, sure enough, it materialized and was quite wonderful.
