Mac Knew
I have alot going on my life right now. Some good some bad. But I am looking at the good. Just three weeks from today I will live out a life long dream of seeing California. While there I will be seeing the Ocean and real live palm trees. Right now that is what I am looking forward to. I can't wait to get on that plane! I know when I get back I will have plenty to tell youse guys LOL! Mac Hello God
Oct31PM
It's funny when you grew up in California to hear someone talk about visiting there being their lifelong dream. It really is a great state though. Just don't get your hopes TOO high about Hollywood! LOL! The reality can be a bit of a letdown if you've bought into the hype about it! In truth though, Hollywood is now a LOT less rundown than it was, say, a decade ago. Best wishes, Alan
Mac Knew
Hi Alan, LOL, I figured you would say something like that. But yeah, seeing California is a pretty big deal to me especially when you live in Arkansas. I don't know if we will see Hollywood or not. My friend I am going to be visiting has a surprise or two and I will not find out what it is until I get there. All I know is that I will see the ocean and palm trees. I never seen a real live palm tree. We are also going out for fish one night and Pizza the next. Everything else is a surprise I have no idea what we will be doing. I am sure whatever it is will be cool. Mac

Mac Knew
Yes Ron that is pretty true alright! I had a friend from another state once say that wanted to go to Silver Dollar City in Branson because they heard it was like taking a trip back to the 1800's. They said they could not afford to go so I said then just come to Arkansas it is also like taking a trip back to the 1800's LOL! Mac
Oct31PM
I'm sure you'll have a great time in California, Mac. Again, it's so hard for me to think of palm trees as something exotic since there was never a time that I can remember when I HADN'T seen them! A few weeks back, I saw a guy almost get nailed by a falling palm frond. It landed about two feet from him, heavy end first, and would have definitely sent him to the hospital if it had hit him head first. He glanced at it and walked off like it was no big deal. You know, I do get jaded but if you do go to Hollwyood, it's pretty cool to walk the boulevard and see all the stars on the sidewalk with the famous names or to go to Graumann's Chinese (I think they finally changed the name back from Mann's Chinese) Theater and see the handprints and footprints in the forecourt. I was there in 1977 watching as Threepio, Artoo, and Darth Vader got enshrined in cement and seven years later when Lucas and Spielberg got the square next door. I saw Harrison Ford and the Star Trek crew and a bunch of others get their handprints or their stars so maybe it's cooler living here than I realize. Did you say you were going to Northern California as well? Or just So Cal? Best wishes, Alan
Mac Knew
No Alan I am pretty much just staying in So Cal. We will be hanging around Burbank and from what I understand we are gonna take a drive to LA. Are you anywhere near there? Mac
