Ron
2. My friend and I were all set for the PA show, but it seems sold out -Philip Officially, it sold out in under 2 days. You could be a part of a special prebuy if you paid to be a "Club Musikfest" member. The more you paid, the earlier you could buy your tickets. I paid the $65 fee the day it was available at that level to buy tickets, and I had to settle for the "middle section" seats. Dennis always seems to do good in the Lehigh Valley the past several times in the area (2002 opening for Meat Loaf at the Allentown Fair) and on the RTP tour with Styx they did quite well with dates in Allentown AND Philadelphia. I wish they would get a Philly date. I also wish they hadn't torn down the Valley Forge Music Fair, as that would have been an excellent venue for his show (in the round with not a bad seat in the house. Torn down around 5-10 years ago. I refuse to do business at the stores built on that ground.) Phillip-Just curious, where are you from in the area? NY/NJ/PA? Ron
man of miracles
I am from CT actually. I was on vacation when the foxwoods casino show occured. Anything in new england is worth going to for dennis -philip
ladybugking
Thanks Ron and Philip for the reviews. One thing that seems clear with these Lost Treasures concerts (and there have only been two so far) is that Dennis sounds like he may experiment around with one or two of the songs. This is really cool in my book. You know you are going to hear the good stuff, but what else? when you go to one. We have full agreement here on his doing more and more of these types of shows. I will make every effort to see it again for sure. Just too good to miss and too good to only see once. Kathy
Ron
I'm pretty sure Dennis doesn't see/talk to anyone before a show. I think that goes for most artists. I was at one meet & greet that was before the show. It was very well organized and executed, and moved quickly and smoothly without the 'we need to get out of here because we're tired' feeling. Everyone was lined up, received a press photo that was autographed, and each group could have one picture. They supplied someone to take the picture with your camera for you. The artist was relaxed, friendly, and not worn out, exhaused, or sweaty. Ron

He is, as I understand it, very tense prior to the show starting and likes to be by himself. I, myself, don't see him being very comfortable with a pre-show meet and greet. Liz My illustration was to show that pre-show was practical, even if it would not be prefered. The reason I was looking pre-show on Saturday was only because I was there so freaking early and that I might have had a chance to say hello in passing, especially before all of the other fans showed up and everyone went into hiding. I knew it would have been a long shot at best, and am not too worried about it not happening. If the right time and place happen to line up and I'm there I'll get to meet him, but I'm not going to be rude and inconsiderate to those around me to try to do so. (sorry about the soap box, just a little pet peeve of mine on how some people act at concerts) Ron

My point was that, while that might be good for some artists, in Dennis' case I didn't see it happening. And that makes it impractical for him. I've never concerned myself with meeting him, or any other celebrity if you will, simply because I feel that they, like everyone else, are entitled to their own time and space. I do not mean to suggest you would ever intrude on anyone's space at all. We pay for their performance. If they choose to give us their time before or after, that's great. But for me, I wouldn't ask it of them. As for rude people at concerts, believe me, I've seen my share. It is amazing how people behave at shows. man of miracles
I intend to go to the beverly show, although I have yet to order tickets. I like the song "when I see you smile." so it will be nice to hear john waite's opening set as well.

I brought 3 people that weren't familiar with John Waite, and they recognized almost every song, except his new songs that he played. He plays his solo songs, Bad English and The Baby's songs. He is a SUPER guy too. It's a long story, but there weren't many people at the show due to NO advertisement and it was a FREE show!!! Terrible. Anyway, everyone at the were able to meet and talk with him after the show. He talked for quite a while and we were able to take all the pictures we wanted - we took one each Have fun at the concert and please post a review if you have time
