Paradise on the radio

Now I know we've all commented on hearing Dennis/Styx music at various places and that making our day. I had such a nice drive in to work today.

 

There I was channel surfing. And a station that I cannot normally catch, came through crystal clear...and what do my ears detect. Yes the wonderful sounds of Dennis DeYoung and Styx singing Paradise. I'm not sure which surprised me more, that I got the station (which services Indiana and Michigan, not northern Illinois) or that the song beings played was Paradise. Either way, I'm not complaining. It was so refreshing to hear that song on the radio. Just wanted to share.

Wow, what a TREAT!! Of all songs to hear on the radio, just WONDERFUL And then to hear it from a station from another state, just amazing.

I'm really impressed that a radio station would play this! How fantastic! I'm lucky to hear "Come Sail Away" down here! I'm very jealous!

That's great Liz! I created my own luck yesterday. I called that high school radio station I've mentioned before and asked if they had anything by DDY in their library (which, of course, I knew they did). Anyway, I aksed her to play the first song they had listed by him. Turned out to be "Call Me" which I don't think I've EVER heard on the radio.

 

Was a pretty cool way to spend the 5 minutes I was late getting back from lunch! :;

Call Me is one of the songs I really love and the video for it is exquisite. It is one included on his collection coming out shortly.
