spencercat Posted June 12, 2009 Report Share Posted June 12, 2009 Hi all , I am wondering if anyone from this forum went to any DDY shows in Quebec. saw them in Gatineau(sat) and Montreal(Wed). I felt they needed to work on things at the Gatineau show but thought their performance was much tighter at the Montreal show (although it was short). I wonder if they are going to do more acoustic shows like this in the future. Also I'm thinking of going to the Sherbrooke show. Ok.. this may sound really weird but I am wondering if anyone is brave enough to give me a ride back to Montreal from Sherbrooke after the show? I called them and asked about the show and the tickets were actually available through them. But it was really a strange show.... It is going to be very interesting to see how the Private Sessions program shakes out regarding what was filmed and what will be shown of this acoustic concert on the show. spencercat Posted June 17, 2009 Author Report Share Posted June 17, 2009 Weird. You know, a lot about this acoustic show is just getting plain weird. I think this show was organized for people who donated lots of money for the cancer research fund (which was organizing the event). They had opera singers singing before DDY's set. and I kinda think some people might have gotten some kind of awards (I wasn't there from the beginning so I'm guessing). They had nice program books and also some area to get drunk. Because the audience wasn't really Dennis or Styx fans their reaction was rather interesting. Kathy, yeah it will ber VERY intersting.....
