Rubulator2k Posted June 12, 2009 Report Share Posted June 12, 2009 I actually don't like Dennis' hits too much....either with Styx or solo. I like the album tracks BY FAR the best. Every Styx album I can think of....my favorite songs were always album tracks. Dennis' best hits as far as I am concerned, if I had to pick a hit, would be: Lady Come Sail Away Grand Illusion, if this is considered one of his "hits" Best of Times Mr Roboto (I can't stand Kilroy was here....except for THIS song) The rest of his hits are too slow. I still like his voice, regardless of the song, and his keyboards. Never heard anyone play keyboards the way he does. He's OUTSTANDING to listen to. Wow, Pam... someone else besides me who states they didnt like KWH... And I agree Roboto IMO is really the only good piece of work from the CD... Dont let it end is ehhh, ok... And even though he always says he doesn't think hes that good a KB player. I always thought he was spot on where and when he put in KB pieces... man of miracles Posted June 12, 2009 Report Share Posted June 12, 2009 The best Dennis show I ever saw was in NYC in 2005 when he played Queen of Spades, Borrowed Time, Best Thing, First Time, Pieces of Eight, and Castle Walls. I wish he incorporated more of those songs into the set. It would also be incredible to see some rarities like Father OSA, Ballerina, This Old Man, Harry's Hands, or Don't Wait For Heroes. Even with casual fans you can still mix it up a little bit once in awhile. If he switched them out with Light Up, Desert Moon, Don't Let It End, etc, which are great songs but not ESSENTIAL for the casual fan to hear. Must hear songs for me of Dennis would be All the top 10 singles - Show Me The Way - Desert Moon - Don't let It End - Mr. Roboto - Best of Times - Babe - Come Sail Away - Lady Album Cuts/lower charted singles - Grand Illusion - Rockin The Paradise - Pieces of Eight - Lorelei Wishes - Nothing Ever Goes As Planned - Don't Wait For Heroes - Harry's Hands - Black Wall - On The Street Where You Live - Borrowed Time - Why Me? - Music Time (how about that one?!?!)
