I hope you get the chance to interview DDY everytime you see him. You asked him stuff that was definitely not the run-of-the-mill questions he gets. It was one of the best interviews of his I've read in a while. What would be cool is if you could interview DDY and Glen Burtnick together after the concert in New York. I'd PAY to read that. I really tried to ask "different" questions, because we already know most of the answers to the "standard" questions. While I am still dissatisfied about how I sound during the interview, I think that if you consider that I am not really a public speaker, or normally do this type of thing I guess you could give me a satisfactory grade. I also wanted to ask relevant questions. The reason I got upset about the Barbara Walters remark is just that she lands these big interviews, and throws softball questions, so instead of being something informative (which is the goal of any Q&A or interview) it just becomes just one big kiss-a** joke. And Larry King, when he gets the interview, he shows that he doesn't do his homework (like so many other 'journalists') and at least get some idea of what he is talking about. Most non-relevant questions I have ever heard come out of his mouth. Anyway, since that type of thing always bugs me, I really tried hard to make sure I was not the same way. I had more questions, but skipped some because I felt that they would not fit in the flow of how the interview was going. Also I wanted to make sure I didn't take up more than 30 minutes, because I knew what I long night it had been already. Not only for Dennis, but for me, who still had to drive an hour and a half back home. I'm glad everyone likes it. I did some distribution to get the word out about the interview, in case there are others that may enjoy reading it (and in turn, give Dennis some publicity for his CD and upcoming shows). And for us here on the site, as big supporters of yours, THAT is the BIG interview...getting to chat with da' MAN. But, unlike Walters, you didn't softball him at all. In fact, Sterling's board is lit up with people talking about "First Time" from what DDY said in YOUR interview. Again great job. Sorry if I upset you in any way. I was just kidding around. I guess I need to scale back my rhetoric a little, because my goal is NEVER to hack anybody off. I just try to have a little fun. I've thought about posting my opinion on the matter, and why I asked the question to begin with. I think (for now) I'm going to keep quiet about it. I also saw what was posted on "that other board" and got worked up just like every other time I have gone there. I think I've been kicked off of that board (again) so I can't even comment.
