RSMBob
Dennis started off with Grand Illusion , the setlist was pretty typical . Lady, Babe , Castle Walls , Rockin In Paradise , Mr. Roboto, Don't let It End , Desert Moon . He did 100 Years from Now ! Did not mention any thing of a release date . Kyle was back behind the kit , Jim was playing second guitar . It was a good concert ! unbelievable georgeous evening ! Everything went well , For myself I would have love to hear some more off of 100 Years From Now ........... Just back to CA from 10 days in Chicago and Wisconsin. I dragged 8 of us up to see DDY at AHFD as well...comments are right on...gorgeous evening, great concert, big crowd. Crowd could have been even bigger if not for them allowing people to spread out their blankets and hog WAY too much room. We were there 2 hours before the concery and it was tough getting a spot. Dennis is exceedingly comfortable in his hometown area, and in addition to a Happy Birthday America redition there were plenty of jokes about the Cubs and Sox, Chicago and the suburbs, etc. Dennis had some throat problems which he acknowledged, most noticeable in Mr Roboto and Rockin the Paradise. Highlights were 100 Years From Now (which my 9-year old son is still singing) and Pieces of 8. Back a few years ago when Dawn Marie was on one of the DDY boards, I highly encouraged her to get Po8 into the set list (notice that it isn't on the CD or DVD), and this was the first time I got to hear it live. Let's see...whaat should I ask for next...I'm OK? Boomchild? No QoS, SMTW or Hunchback stuff (but he did plug it briefly), but he played about 1:45 and the crowd was very supportive, really getting into it towards the end after it got dark. Scott
I have heard him do "I'm OK" at a show in Florida. The first and only time I have seen him do it in concert.
