wishiwas
Hey guys! I just wanted to post this review of the Green Bay show last Friday the 7th. Dennis was on top of his game for this show and funny as ever. One moment in the show was an older gentleman who was seated in the front row got up in between songs and decided he was going to have a conversation with Dennis. DDY was very cool about it an even pointed the mic at him to chat. The crowd was roaring. Standard band line up with Jimmy Leahey and Tom Sharpe on drums. Tom has been doing an awesome job. I love some of the little details he puts into his work like using a rain stick and the tiniest of bells during certain songs. There was a new lighting effect during the song Come Sail Away which reminded me of Willy Wonka when the ship was going faster and faster. Matthew is such an asset to Dennis. After the show I spoke briefly with Tom Sharpe, Jimmy, John and Hank. As usual these guys are approachable and love to hear the feedback. Wouldn’t you like someone telling you that you did a great job at work! The set list went as follows: Grand Illusion Lady Lorelei Don’t let it end Show me the way Light Up Mr. Roboto Castle Walls Desert Moon 100 Years From now Pieces of 8 Rockin the paradise Save me Suite Madame Blue Babe Best of Times Come Sail Away Edited March 12, 2008 by wishiwas
ladybugking
Thanks for the review, Wish! I am hoping for a good opportunity to catch Dennis in concert again with the new folks he has brought on board. Have seen Jimmy live once, but not with Dennis! Fingers crossed he will do a few concerts to support the CD release and perform a few more songs from it.
Lori
Hey "Wish", Pretty cool that you take the time to travel so far to see such an icon. My only wish is that he would tour a little more so we can save money on traveling to see him! Doesn't matter how many times I see him, his same ol' jokes still make me roar !
